Universal Impactor System

ARIES´ Launchers family has been conceived to perform impact test for research, development and certification according to different regulations worldwide, either over complete vehicles or automotive components.

All Pedestrian and interiors testing regulations can be accomplished by ARIES´ Launchers family and its modules and accessories.

All versions of the family are based in ARIES´ key servo hydraulic control technology and, depending on the version, just positioning ranges and adaptable modules change in order to better fit customer needs.

Launchers family:

UNIVERSAL Launcher

This version is the full range version. Regulation ranges include X,Y,Z, Alpha angle (launcher), (impact direction), and optional tower rotation, Theta (necessary for FMH module).This version is mainly recommended for pedestrian test protocol for complete vehicleand can be improved with many others test modules for the highest test flexibility.

LITE Launcher

This version is a reduced version of Universal and allows a lot of test but with less positioning regulation, both in ranges and in courses distance. Vertical Z and Alpha angle are always included being lateral Yaxis is optional.Tower rotation (Theta) can be implemented and X movement is  provided not in the main frame, but through a motorized bed plate . This version is mainly recommended for component level testing when still high flexibility is required.

COMPACT Launcher

This is the simplest version. Only vertical (Z) adjustmentis provided with the launcher support frame.This positioning could be either motorized or manual.This compact version is recommended for steering and interior fittings testing protocols.

DOUBLE Launcher

Special version which includes synchronized cylinders for testing large size airbags or panels. With this system it is possible to impact with different masses at different speeds and with programable delays. This is only possible thanks to the highest accurate speed control and exceptional repetitivity of ARIES´ hydraulic cylinders.
