En el sector energético, Aries ha formado parte del consorcio ganador de la primera fase de 500 MW en el proyecto solar marroquí Ouarzazate. Es el primer paso para el ambicioso plan energético de Marruecos que prevé la construcción de 2000 MW antes de 2020. El proyecto se ha adjudicado tras un concurso público para empresas proveedoras de servicios de venta de energía (IPP) incluyendo el diseño, financiación, construcción y operación y mantenimiento de la planta solar. La contribución de Ouarzazate al desarrollo de la industria termosolar ha despertado el interés, entre otros, del Banco Mundial tanto por la calidad técnica como  por la competitividad del precio ofertado en este proyecto.

El pasado noviembre, Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas, asesor técnico de Acwa Power durante la fase de licitación e ingeniería de la propiedad, presentó en Washington su visión sobre el futuro de la tecnología CSP a través del caso de éxito de Ouarzazate.

The exposition takes place June 4^th – 6^th, and will include the most technologically advanced engineering firms in the test systems sector. At the expo in Stuttgart, Germany, Aries Ingeniería will occupy the preferentially placed booth, #C3000.  The company attends this yearly event looking to collaborate with other industry specialists and to showcase their latest developments.

This year’s booth will feature developments in the Integrated Safety Testing Laboratory. Aries’ engineers, aspiring to enable test systems researchers to combine Passive and Active safety testing in one laboratory, have developed this new way to do it all under one roof.

The integrated laboratory is a combination of a traditional crash test laboratory, equipped with an electro-controlled towing system, and modern Active Safety testing devices such as Autonomous Vehicle for ADAS Testing (AVAT) or driving robots.

The unique combination of testing methods features, a time synchronization of the traditionally towed car with the robot-driven car or AVAT in order to recreate critical situations in which the ADAS systems actuate, allowing researchers and developers to evaluate their effectiveness. 

By developing effective, cost-efficient, value added solutions in the automotive testing sector, Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas will showcase Dynacar, a real time simulation environment for the design, development, and validation of complete vehicle systems or subsystems. The simulator can be applied to the entire design process; powertrain, electronic control units, and battery systems.

With Dynacar, individual and traditionally isolated vehicle sub-system hardware and software tests, such as ECU´s and Power train components, can now be tested within a virtual vehicle environment, following a “model based testing” approach. Unlike the traditional process where engineers test vehicle sub-systems independently and not as part of an entire vehicle system, with Dynacar, they are now able to see how their particular components work as part of the whole system, ultimately improving product reliability, reducing development costs, and speeding time to market. This new approach is particularly suited for the increasingly complex systems developed in alternative vehicles, including electric drives, transmissions, battery packs, control algorithms, distributed electric drives. Dynacar is based on off-the-shelf hardware and software technology, providing a robust solution that delivers deterministic performance and is easy to integrate. Dynacar software environment is fully based in National Instruments LabVIEW Real-Time and integrated into a vehicle’s design and test platform using NI VeriStand, and off-the-shelf PXI control and test hardware. With NI VeriStand, Dynacar offers less than 1ms loop-closure rates and an easy-to-use graphical user interface with drop-down menus for development and testing. In addition, custom control algorithms and simulation models generated with other languages can easily be integrated into the vehicle model, and through menu-drive options, engineers can quickly and easily change parameter values or plug in and test another model in a complete vehicle environment.

Dynacar was developed by Tecnalia and this new advanced tool is already being used by several of the leading European and U.S. automotive and component manufacturers (including GKN, Mercedes Benz, SEAT, IRIZAR, Ford, Michigan State University) in both engineering and R&D activities.  The capacity of Aries to offer customized solutions joined to the power and flexibility of Dynacar will make your preferred partner for Human or/and Hardware in the Loop (XiL) applications, especially for power train research and validation dyno test benches, battery packs performance, and efficiency and reliability development and testing.

The Universal Launcher by Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas is an impact test system capable of launching different body forms against both interior and exterior elements of the test vehicle. The system uses a highly versatile design which allows for the testing of a complete vehicle or of individual parts. To test pedestrian impacts, Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas has designed the system to launch instrumented legs, body forms, and heads with high velocity and impact point precision.
